Stonegrove

A master plan to refurbish and revive 900 dwelling estate in north Barnet, Gilad had the responsibility for developing prototype units (houses & flats) to comply with the high standard the scheme introduced, achieving Life Time Home & SDS to all housing association and private sale  dwellings. At the same time Gilad helped developing the area bridging the development with  neighbouring areas. The aim was to develop the existing street pattern of semidetached and terraces houses with traditional exterior, and to introduce a soft change into high-rise blocks of flats with contemporary elevations

The layout based on the prototype units, insures sufficient amenity space and parking for each family and each unit developed to show it’s layout, it’s adaptation as Life Time Homes and a full computability of the kitchen layout with SDS requirements.

Shoeburyness

A Project for Bovis Homes Ltd.  A 149 dwelling plan of private and social units mix of houses and blocks of flats, In Shoeburyness. Gilad had to refine the plan, affirm the connection of the built area with the inner private amenity spaces to the blocks of flats, to meet the borough requierments on one hand and to update some of the blocks layout design to Bovis Homes standards on the other, maintaining profitability of the project. At the same time the site boundary line was changed which forced a further revision to the plan. A successful application meant a swift move to site and production drawings, schedules details to match the updated plans.

Working as Housing Layout Designer Gilad had to handle building applications designed with Bovis Homes Standard units.

Farnborough Park

A 540 dwelling schema of private sale and affordable dwellings in refurbished & new build block of flats and houses next to Farnborough airfield.

Working for RPA Architects as a Project leader, I was responsible for the project from feasibility study, of a contemporary adaptation of the Art Deco style dominates the existing buildings on site; through preliminary design of the site; up to planning applications plans for the housing, running a team of architects and architectural assistances.   The contemporary expression of  Art-Deco elements evolved through the design process and client & borough requirements.מבט בנייה חדשה
